Twisted Chopstick is our favorite sushi restaurant in DeLand. The food is second to none and the service is always phenomenal. Even better, they offer 20% off every Monday to Stetson students/faculty!

I went there today on a service call in the kitchen. I've seen alot of kitchens in my time. This one was one of the cleanest and the kitchen staff was always cooking,cleaning between orders, etc. So I decided to order some take home food. Well my hunch was right. I had the pork ramen to go. The best ramen I've ever tasted. Luckily I get to go back tomorrow for a follow up. And I'll definitely be going there on a regular basis when hungry for amazing quality food. I think I'm going to try the sushi.

excellent sushi& great service ! we drove up and found a lush romantic back patio with roses on each place setting and fairy garden lights. surprisingly romantic vibe. menu was super accommodating to vegetarians. waiter made two excellent jokes while we ordered. felt comfortable, at home and breezy 💜 great date spot. will defs visit again should i ever come back.

The Twisted Chopstick does not disappoint. If you want something new and innovative, this sushi place is the place to go. Yes, you can get your traditional rolls, but Chef Jeff has come up with a number of specialty roll that are worth trying. Not only this, but he also makes his own sauces which all are quite tasty. This place is just the beginning. The Chef has so much creative ideas, it'll be awesome to see what he comes up with in the future.

I think the food is very good, but the service is terrible! I ordered takeout and was told 50min. I arribe 50 mins later, and end up waiting for an additional 35mins. That is unacceptable. Poke sushi by publix will be getting my business in the future instead.

Great food and always friendly and pleasant service. Super reasonable pricing, one of my favorite spots in DeLand. Great for takeout too. Highly recommend!

I came here to celebrate my daughter's 20'th birthday and she absolutely loved it. The staff was kind and friendly, the food was amazing quality and tasted absolutely divine, and the atmosphere was easygoing and comfortable. Definitely coming back again and recommending others do the same.

Great food, everything that I have tried here I would order again. Service is great and quick whether you are eating inside or out. Indoor seating is smaller so plan ahead and enjoy a cocktail. I would definitely recommend stopping by and eating dinner or ordering take out. Restaurant is located in the back of the hotel.

Limited menu items but the artistry put into the sushi plates as well as the taste are incredible. A very nice gem hidden in the city of Deland.

This is an amazing little sushi joint. Very great sushi. It's hidden in the historic Deland hotel. The hotel is really beautiful. You can sit outside when it's nice out. Inside there are booths and tables. You can sit at the sushi bar too.

I absolutely love this place!!! Me and my hubby love to come here for special occasions!! The food is great and the boba tea is greater!! Awesome atmosphere and a awesome place to eat!

I’ve eaten here many times and the food is always great! The sushi is fresh and the service is awesome. The wait staff is the best but i always feel extra lucky when I get Taylor as my server 😊

The sushi was delish. My husband and I are keto so I walked in and asked the sushi chef which rolls he could make without rice and he replied that he could make all of them. It was so good. I highly recommend this place!

This place is always so peaceful, and still being fast paced with the orders when it’s busy. The staff members always nice it’s hard to pin point who is the best because over all they are great and when they work together it seems like a well put team!! Highly recommend the yakitori and poki bowls

I told my friends about this place with my highest recommendations. I go their often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the food there is yummy and the team is attentive and cooperative. always when we eat in this place we enjoy a cheerful time. I warmly recommend this restaurant.

Sushi was just okay. For $12 a roll you’d expect a bit more. Even the roll sizes were small. The fried Gyoza was good, but the sauce that came with it was like vinegar, why? The dragon balls were amazing. Friendly staff and clean. Just not for me on the sushi front. You can get way better down the road.

Their food is always remarkable!!! Jody is the absolute best too!! If you visit, ask for Jody. She's a total sweetheart and always brings a smile to our faces.

First time at the new location. It shouldn't have taken us this long to go back. We had the make your own veggie sushi burrito. It is still amazing! The sweet potato fries were good as well. Nice atmosphere and staff. Our waiter did a great job too.

Omg! Best sushi nook ever!!!! Absolutely love the food here!!! Wow, talk about a great experience! My wife and I found this place while looking up restaurants on google, and found this gem. Would certainly recommend! The staff was EXTREMELY friendly, and the food was unbelievably delicious! They just made a few new regulars!

Found this wonderful sushi house on Google and I got to say this place rocks. Love the decor, staff service was excellent and the food was tops. Very unique sushi rolls so explore and enjoy

The restaurant is a little hard to find, but it's a delight once you get there! It's got a cute, private atmosphere with great service. Excited to try my poke bowl!!Edit: The poke was WONDERFUL. Also loved the wasabi chocolate ice cream!!!

Ordered veggie spring rolls and Miso Ramen with extra noodles and roasted corn. Spring rolls were room temp and not crispy, so they were clearly old and not made to order.Miso ramen soup flavor was good, but noodles were slimy and in a small quantity. Kinda disappointing considering I ordered extra. The roasted corn was literally just regular corn, not roasted at all. Lastly the tofu pieces that came with ramen was dry? It's as if the tofu was dehydrated bits that were rehydrated in the soup, really strange and I'm pretty sure it wasn't fresh.

I absolutely like their dishes and customer service, fantastic area to my residence. The workers are always super nice. Will come back again.

Excellent authentic ramen. Perfectly seasoned and the noodles were cooked perfectly--firm and with the right amount of chewiness. The egg was marinated authentically and the portions were just right.

Awesome sushi and the appetizers are amazing. Great portions for the price, and location is perfect for families/groups.

Everything that we had today at the Twisted Chopstick from the gyoza to the spicy tuna roll was amazing! The sushi burger? Groundbreaking. Revolutionary. Iconic!! The outside area is so cute and this is the perfect date spot. For me, the Twisted Chopstick was an 11/10. Would totally recommend and I will be coming back regularly. 🤗

Portions on the small side in comparison to sushi places we've been before. Ginger wasn't fresh. The pork in our ramen was mostly fat. We came here because of the awesome reviews.. The experience was a bit disappointing

Delicious food presented in a cool atmosphere makes this place a hidden gem in DeLand. We had a wonderful server named Taylor, she went above and beyond from helping with menu suggestions to checking on us to make surew were doing alright. She even wrapped up the soup for me so then it wouldn't spill. Truly a 5 star experience. We will definitely be back.

Wow. This place is amazing. I set at the sushi bar, and the chef was engaging and friendly. He offered some advice and asked what I liked before suggesting the Omikase Roll. It was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. I ate every bit, and I also ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll. Very tasty. I plan to return next time I'm in DeLand.

Normally I do not write reviews, however I am compelled to share my awesome experience at Twisted Chopstick. We had Dragon Ball which were huge and very tasty. The sushi was fresh and very flavorful. The only problem was the little dab of mint iced cream served with the sushi was way to spicy. It di not cleanse my palate.

I like this little place. Sushi is definitely fresh. Owners and staff are nice. Some unique dishes. Worth checking out.

My best friend and I ate here and loved the sushi burrito so much we both ordered one to go so we could enjoy another later. Their ramen bowls looked amazing and we decided next time we come in we would try one of those. Quaint location on bottom floor of historic hotel near downtown, they also offer outdoor seating as well in a dimly lit garden. We will definitely be back.

I messed up with everything going on and a kids Birthday I didn't order enough of something... Henry there, had no problem updating my order and was very polite on phone.. Definitely recommend them for food and service.. And when/If you go in to grab your food, make sure to thank them and our delivery drivers if we are staying home... Make sure you tell Henry hello because he is really trying to get all the orders out in a timely manner... Thanks again Henry you rock

Tasty Food, but the wait staff is barely trained...nice enough, but very little knowledge or insight into the menu or experience. Good ambiance so work on the people that represent you!!

Great environment. The outside patio is beautiful and very peaceful. Service is great and it has a fantastic menu selection.

As someone who’s been terrified to try sushi their entire life, The Twisted Chopstick was a phenomenal introduction into this new realm of food! The restaurant itself is a cute little spot with great ambiance in the DeLand Hotel and there’s a gorgeous patio that’s perfect for date night. The service is top notch and the food is next level! I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi or anyone who’s feeling adventurous and wants to try something new! I’ll 100% be back again soon!
